Prior to stepping away from the education field to be at home with my children, I had eighteen years of school experience, including teaching students with special needs, special education coordinating, and school counseling. While much of my professional history has been in the middle school setting, I began my teaching experience in a first grade class and then worked with young children with autism.
In October 2016, I returned to the classroom as a Title I tutor at Holy Family Academy. For the past several years, I have been enjoying helping elementary and middle school students with their reading and math skills. I have a personal interest in Holy Family Academy, as my younger son attends school there.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English from Providence College & a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Fitchburg State University. In addition, I have completed graduate course work to obtain my teaching degrees in elementary and special education. I am currently a licensed elementary and secondary special education teacher, as well as a secondary school counselor.
