Holy Family Academy is a ministry of Annunciation parish and the Worcester Diocese. As such, we see Christ as the primary educator and our purpose to be His tools in the salvation of souls. Under the leadership of our pastor-headmaster and in partnership with the parents of our students, the administration, faculty, and staff strive to provide an atmosphere of faith where Christian principles are taught throughout all the subjects, but most importantly, by example.
The school is committed to excellence in the intellectual development and spiritual formation of its students. With a holistic approach, the curriculum is centered on basic skills and enriched by special subjects aimed at helping each student develop intellectually, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
Instruction in the Catholic faith, introduction to Sacred Scripture, and prayer are the foundation for helping each child to discover self worth as a child of God and to develop habits conducive to loving our Lord with their whole hearts, minds, souls, and strength, and to love their neighbor as themselves.
Catholic liberal arts education leads students to open their minds to encounter the Truth. This search frees us for growth in faith, wisdom, and virtue. While recent attention has been aimed at the revival of liberal learning in higher education, these habits of mind and heart must first be cultivated in the very young.
Catholic schools can offer both Catholic and non-Catholic students the kind of learning that will free them to encounter the Truth and prepare them to enter a culture that has grown increasingly dismissive to the place of God in our lives. Authentic Catholic education is an engine of evangelization, it provides opportunities for students to build a relationship with Jesus Christ; and it nourishes the soul in truth, goodness, and beauty.
At Holy Family Academy, we believe that Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that He who is the Truth will set us free.
