We love the first day of school at HFA! We know the first day can come with jitters and nervousness, but our caring teachers and staff are here to help. And guess what? We get the jitters too! Bring on the back packs, the smell of new books, the package of new pencils, and the crisp school uniforms!
The first day of school at HFA is for grades 1-8 only and begins with Mass at 9 AM. We aim to start and end our school year with the most important part of our school: faith. Parents and/or families are invited and encouraged to attend the opening Mass with their HFA students.
If you or a family member cannot attend the opening Mass with your children, we have an amazing community of classmates and parents that are always willing to help. We ask that you ensure your child has an adult to sit with at the Mass. At the end of the Mass, teachers will go up to the front of the church and call their class list up name by name so we can cheer each class on as they head over to the school together.
There is no morning extended care on the first day of school, but there is afternoon extended care after school. Morning extended care and the regular school drop off time of 7:45 AM begins on the second day of school.
PREK & K are welcomed approximately 1 week later into the school year! Please check our annual school calendar for specific dates.
